On Tuesday, after the police released the accused from the police station in the case of stone pelting on a car near Station Chowk under Bagbera police station and attack on Tanya Banerjee, daughter of Suman Banerjee of Parsudih Pramathnagar, the victim’s family, under the leadership of BJP leader Vikas Singh, complained about the case to the SSP. According to Tanya Banerjee’s father Suman Banerjee, on July 27, his daughter Tanya was going in a rented car with her grandmother Hasi Banerjee to appear for the NEET exam. Meanwhile, a tempo stopped the car near Station Chowk and five to six youths attacked it. They beat up the driver. In addition to this, his daughter Tanya was also attacked. Baghbeda police reached the spot and took the youth to the police station. On reaching the police station, it was found that the tempo had been hit by a car. The said vehicle was also seized by the police. According to Suman Banerjee, she lodged a written complaint regarding the assault on her daughter at the police station. The arrested youth also revealed the names of his accomplices, but the police released all of them on PR bail. On complaining about this, the in-charge Baghbeda police station also misbehaved with him. I also complained about this to DSP, but no action was taken. Due to the said attack, his daughter Tanya did not even appear for the NEET exam. After being released from the police station, the attackers came to our house and started pressuring us to come to a settlement. BJP leader Vikas Singh said that if the attackers are not arrested, Baghbeda police station will be surrounded.
