After two grand pre-wedding ceremonies, this year’s most awaited and extravagant wedding celebration has come to an end as we revel in Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet function held at the Jio Convention Centre. Finally, it’s the evening that kicks off the happy couple’s big day with music, traditions and of course, lots of festive fashion!
As usual, it was a star-studded ceremony and the best of B-town was present including trailblazing actresses Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit Nene. They are arguably two of the most impactful film stars who have won our hearts with their memorable performances and paved the way for female-led cinema. Apart from their commanding screen presence, these divas are experts at giving us sophisticated fashion, especially when it comes to festive ethnic wear.

Vidya Balan wore an ivory floral lehenga, paired with an embellished sheer cape.
The Jalsa star chose a resplendent ivory floral-print lehenga and cape set from Gazal Gupta’s demi-couture collection Gulbahaar. Her blooming lehenga, crafted from exquisite silk, was paired with a sweetheart-shaped bustier neckline. Embroidered with vibrant threadwork, zardozi and pearls, Vidya’s lehenga set was layered with an ivory net cape, which was embellished with floral appliqués and features a scalloped border and tassel detail.
Vidya’s lehenga ensemble, replete with bright shades of pink, peach, tangerine and more, had a bohemian-chic appeal that gave a modern twist to the traditional festive style. As for her beauty choices, the Shakuntala Devi star played up the bohemian charm of her outfit by sporting a mid-parted low ponytail secured with a matching floral bow. The focal point of her radiant glamour was a pair of sensuous, deep berry-hued lips. She completed her look with a pair of dangling pearl earrings and a statement bracelet.
Madhuri Dixit opted for a sheer saree with stripes of shimmering golden sequins.
The queen of eternal beauty, Madhuri saidproved once again that age is an insignificant number when it comes to making fashion statements. For her sangeet look, the gorgeous actress chose a golden gown. Manish Malhotra A sequin-embellished saree. Its sheer draping featured a subtle gradient of molten gold and sage green, but what made it stand out was its intricate sequin and mirror work that formed reflective stripes and art deco-inspired patterns, catching the light beautifully. Madhuri paired it with a matching embellished blouse that had a majestic V-shaped neckline and long sleeves adorned with delicate pearlized beads with tassels.
For her accessories, the Gulaab Gang star chose a gorgeous necklace of raw diamonds and emeralds, along with gold jhumkas, a bracelet and rings. She also carried a beaded gold potli bag that perfectly complemented her golden ensemble.
As for her hair and makeup, the Aaja Nachle star kept her wavy dark brown hair in a semi-updo braided style, slicked back except for a few strands that fell softly over her glowing face. She sported kohl-lined eyes and dark, defined brows, while a pink blush and glossy mauve lips completed her glam.
