Stree 2, one of the most anticipated movies of 2024 and the sequel to the 2018 hit movie Stree, is all set to release in theatres on Independence Day 2024.
Ever since the trailer was released, fans have been eager to watch this horror comedy as it looks promising for the audiences. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt and produced under the banner of Maddock Films and Jio Studios.

Stree 2 release date
The film Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is slated to hit the theatres this Independence Day, August 15, 2024. It will clash with two other films at the box office on the same day, one is Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and the second is Vedaa, starring John Abraham.

Street Plot 2
Stree 2 promises more twists and turns along with plenty of laughter and mysterious events. Not just that, the dialogues in the film once again promise to make you laugh out loud. The sequel picks up where the previous film ended. The trailer takes us to Chanderi once again with the locals (the cast) once again on a mission to counter another evil called Sarkata to help Stree.
Returning cast and new faces
Rajkummar Rao will reprise his character as the protagonist who earlier faced the mysterious Stree. Shraddha Kapoor will also make her comeback to become an enigma for the audience.
Apart from Rajkummar and Shraddha, several other faces will be making a comeback including Pankaj Tripathi as Rudra, Abhishek Banerjee as Jana, Aparshakti Khurana as Bittu and Sunita Rajwar.
Tamannaah Bhatia also joins the cast of Stree 2 playing the character named Shama. She was first introduced in a special appearance in the song titled ‘Aaj Ki Raat’. The trailer shows that she would play a crucial role in the story, potentially as a key figure connected to a supernatural antagonist.
Stree 2 Certification and Runtime
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Stree 2 a U/A rating and advised parental discretion for viewers under 12 years of age.
The runtime of Stree 2 is 149 minutes and 29 seconds, which is approximately 2 hours, 29 minutes and 29 seconds. The CBFC recommended several changes, such as replacing the mention of certain celebrities and riots with the name of a national monument.
