According to the Alipur Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is possible in five districts. The list includes Howrah, East and West Medinipur, North and South 24 Parganas. There is also a possibility of light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms in other districts. The amount of rainfall will increase from Friday. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Jhargram and West Medinipur on Saturday. It will be cloudy in many areas.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar today i.e. Wednesday. Thunderstorm is expected in Malda, North and South Dinajpur. Rain may occur in North Bengal on Thursday. A warning for light to moderate rain with thunder has been issued in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri along with Malda and North Dinajpur. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe during the next two to three days.
