Not only that, the day will also witness the annual parades and cultural events revolving around the Independence Day. Students from most educational institutions will participate in plays depicting snippets of the freedom struggle and will also recite speeches on the occasion. Other activities include quiz contests on important events or inspirational quotes from freedom fighters, to name just a few.
It is noteworthy that the Government of India has declared that the theme of this year’s Independence Day celebrations will be Viksit Bharat or Developed India, which represents the vision of a developed nation by 2047 and reflects the Centre’s commitment to transform India.
Like every year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the tricolour at the Red Fort and address the nation. In fact, this will be the 11th consecutive Independence Day speech he has delivered in this triple term. The Prime Minister’s address will be streamed live on the Press Information Bureau (PIB) YouTube channel, and also on social media platforms X (formerly Twitter) via @PIB_India and the PMO Twitter account.
Following Prime Minister Modi’s address, a grand parade will be held showcasing the country’s military prowess, cultural diversity and technological progress.
