Sachin Tendulkar leads sporting fraternity in sending warm wishes on India’s 78th Independence Day – India TV

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar Sachin took to his social media accounts to extend his warm wishes on India’s 78th Independence Day celebrations on Thursday, August 15. Sachin shared a thought-provoking message on ‘X’, formerly Twitter, to wish Indians across the world a joyous occasion.

“Sportsmen are not the only ones who play for India. Every Indian who does his job with honesty and sincerity is a key player for Team India. So when the national anthem is played today, know that it is for you and I hope you feel the same way I did when I heard it every time I stepped out to play for India. Happy Independence Day to all,” Sachin wrote in his post on X.

Indian tennis legend and three-time Grand Slam winner Sania Mirza also expressed her warm wishes. Taking to her Twitter account, she posted: “The feeling of freedom and pride of belonging to this wonderful nation is indescribable.”

Leg spinner ace Yuzvendra Chahal She also took to ‘X’ and posted a touching picture with the Indian tricolour flag along with a wonderful message for her ‘fellow countrymen’.



“Wishing a very Happy Independence Day to all my countrymen. May the tricolour always fly high! Jai Hind!” Chahal posted on X.

Recently retired Indian men’s hockey team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh also posted a captivating picture of himself holding his Paris Olympics bronze medal with the Red Fort in the background. Sreejesh was present at the Red Fort for the flag reception ceremony along with the other members of the Indian Paris Olympics contingent.

“Proud Indian. Wishing you all a memorable Independence Day! May the spirit of freedom and patriotism fill your hearts with pride. Jai hind,” Sreejesh wrote in his post on X.

The former Indian fast bowling all-rounder also posted a video of India’s triumph during the recently concluded World Legends Championship in England and penned a heartfelt post.
