  • about three liters of milk
  • brown sugar in a bowl
  • two tablespoons of cardamom powder
  • two tablespoons of rose water
  • Finely chopped pistachios, cashews and almonds
  • seven or eight strands of saffron

Make a tasty Kalakand like this

  • To prepare Kalakand, you will first need to prepare paneer.
  • To do this you will have to boil a litre and a half of milk well.
  • After this you will have to add vinegar or lemon juice to the milk.
  • This will curdle the milk and the curds will come out.
  • Now you have to filter the water and the chhena with the help of a fine cotton cloth.
  • You have to wait until the water separates well from the chhena.
  • You will need to pour some water into a saucepan, add brown sugar and prepare the solution well.
  • Now you have to heat a litre and a half of milk well in a saucepan or frying pan.
  • Heat the milk until it thickens.
  • When you feel that the dosh is well prepared, mash the cheese with your hands and add it to the milk.
  • Continue stirring over low heat with light hands.
  • When it dries a bit, add all the other things in it.
  • First add ghee, rose water and jaggery and mix well.
  • After this, add the saffron strands and cardamom powder and turn off the gas.
  • Now leave it and put the prepared kalakand on ghee base in another bowl on top.
  • Now you have to add chopped walnuts and grind them.
  • When Kalakand is well prepared, place it in the refrigerator for 6 hours.
  • Now you can take it out and eat it.
