The main contest in the Maharashtra Assembly elections will be between Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti. Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) includes Congress, Shiv Sena UBT and NCP’s Sharad Pawar’s party. BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP are included in the grand alliance. The Indian alliance has suffered a setback with the Aam Aadmi Party’s announcement to contest the elections separately.
