Archana Patil, a Hello The Ahmedabad-based rider has become an inspirational figure after a passenger shared her remarkable story on social media. Patil’s journey from not knowing how to ride a bike to becoming an expert rider in just six months has captured the admiration of many, highlighting her determination and resilience in the face of adversity.
The story came to light thanks to Ojas Desai, a passenger who had recently booked a cab to Ahmedabad Railway Station. Desai, impressed by Patil’s driving skills in negotiating the heavy traffic, took to Facebook to share his experience. In his post, Desai revealed that it was the first time he had met a female driver with Ola or Uber, and that he was particularly impressed by the challenges Patil had overcome to get there.
Desai said Patil’s husband, who was initially an Ola driver, had to quit the job due to health issues. Since the taxi was on loan, Patil decided to step up and take over the responsibilities. Despite not knowing how to ride a bike, he learned to drive in six months and obtained his driving license — an impressive feat, especially considering the rigorous driving tests in Gujarat.
Since Desai shared the post, it has gone viral on social media, garnering over 20,000 likes and numerous comments.
