‘That would be the goal’: Wellington player Xara Jetly wants to post a photo with Virat Kohli on Instagram

She appeared on a podcast where she spoke about her aspirations to bowl to Kohli. While she admitted that it would be difficult to pick a name from women’s cricket, her answer from men’s cricket was quite simple.
Jetly, who plays for Wellington Blaze in New Zealand domestic cricket, said he dreams of taking a photo with Kohli, which he can share on his Instagram account.
Xara last competed in the New Zealand Women’s One-Day Cricket Competition, where her team, Wellington, finished second.
“Yes, this is basic for me. I would bowl to… the women’s game is more difficult, but in the men’s game, I want to bowl to Virat Kohli. If I could take a picture with Virat Kohli and post it on Instagram, that would be the GOAL,” Xara said on the ‘Thin Legs – The Cricket Podcast’.
“Virat Kohli and I are taking an Instagram-worthy photo together. Mark my words!” Xara also wrote on her social media account. Watch the video here:
Xara played a crucial role in Wellington’s victory in the last edition of the Women’s Super Smash, New Zealand’s domestic T20 competition. The Blaze defeated Canterbury by just one run via the Duckworth-Lewis method in the final at Eden Park in Auckland.
In 10 matches, Xara took nine wickets at an economy rate of 5.59 with a total of three wickets to his name. In the recent one-day competition, he took 17 wickets in 11 matches with a best total of 3/25.
This is not the first time that a foreign cricketer has expressed her admiration for Kohli. Years ago, English star Danni Wyatt had admitted that she was a big fan of the Indian cricketer.
