A couple of allies of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA have opposed the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) decision to fill 45 government posts through lateral entry.
The two prominent allies of the BJP from Bihar, the Janata Festival (United) and the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) – opposed the measure.
“We are a party that since its inception has asked governments to complete the quotas. Among the NDA allies, Union Minister Chirag Paswan LJP president Ram Vilas and Union minister Chirag Paswan is also not happy. “There should be reservation clauses in any government appointment. “Several of these (government) departments need expertise and we are happy that lateral entry is being brought in.
