While speaking to Taruwar Kohli, former Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour shed some light on Virat’s poor run of form in the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup.

“Someone like Virat knows all the answers. Sometimes you need to lead them to the answers that you know are the right ones. He has seen all the ups and downs. It is a universal truth that players go through tough times, a bad patch, when they are not getting the runs. If there is a technical glitch, you have to intervene a little bit and sort it out, but that was not the case with Virat. He just wasn’t getting the runs. All he needed was basically support. We all knew that if he ended up scoring runs in any of the matches, he would win us the match and he did that in the final,” Rathour said.
