But first, let’s see how to perform the pose correctly.

  • Sit on the yoga mat with your leg extended in front of you and your spine should be straight.
  • Then bend your right knee and place your feet close to your left knee.
  • Bring your right arm back, place it near your buttocks, and then, using its support, straighten your spine.
  • Inhale and lift your left arm. Now exhale, twist your upper body to the right and bring your left arm to the outside of your right thigh. Wrap it around your right leg and place it on your back.
  • Turn your right arm towards your back and join the fingers/wrist of your left hand.
  • Turn to the right and look over your right shoulder.
  • Hold the pose for a few breaths. Each time you inhale, you can lengthen your spine, and each time you exhale, you can twist your spine a little further.
  • Then release this posture and repeat the same on the other side.
