Online gaming player Flutter Entertainment opens its GCC in Hyderabad | Start Ups

Flutter Entertainment, the global provider of online sports betting and online gaming, on Tuesday inaugurated a new Global Capacity Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad with an investment of $3.5 million.

The 80,000 sq ft GCC in Hyderabad will house over 700 employees and will focus on data engineering, game integrity and other key functions.

The company also plans to expand its workforce to 900 people by 2024 and achieve 40 percent female leadership by 2026.

“Our expansion into India marks a huge milestone in Flutter’s growth and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in top talent to drive business growth globally. With centers of excellence for data engineering, game integrity services, customer support and HR operations, procurement and finance, and through the power of Flutter Edge, the Hyderabad GCC is designed to foster creativity and growth and strengthen our presence in the Indian jobs and skills market,” said Phil Bishop, COO of Flutter Entertainment.

The company said the Hyderabad-based teams will play a pivotal role in supporting its global growth across brands such as Paddy Power, Sisal, Sky Betting & Gaming, PokerStars, Sportsbet and Betfair, among others.

Additionally, it also announced a contribution of GBP 30,000 by 2024 to support local initiatives in Hyderabad, under its social initiative: Do More.

Flutter operates a diverse portfolio of online sports betting and iGaming brands including FanDuel, Sky Betting & Gaming, Sportsbet, PokerStars, Paddy Power, Sisal, tombola, Betfair, MaxBet, Junglee Games and Adjarabet.

The company reported $11.79 billion in global revenue for fiscal year 2023, up 25 percent year-over-year (YoY), and $3.611 billion in global revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2024.
