Dausa: Responding to the call for a nationwide lockdown (Bharat Bandh) on August 21, District Tax Collector Devendra Kumar has declared a holiday for students of government and private schools as well as colleges, anganwadi centres, training institutes, libraries and hostels. The tax collector has also appealed to organisations participating in the strike to maintain peace and refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
Sultanpur: The Bharat Bandh called in protest against the Supreme Court decision on the SC/ST Act will also be held in Sultanpur tomorrow. The city’s markets will remain completely closed, and the Trade Federation will extend its support to the Reservation Struggle Committee. A rally is scheduled to be held at 11 am, followed by the presentation of a memorandum, according to Ramkumar Meena of the Reservation Bachao Sangharsh Samiti.
Udaipur: Peace has been restored in Udaipur and daily life has returned to normal. Markets have seen increased activity and all schools and colleges will reopen tomorrow, according to an order issued by district magistrate Arvind Poswal.
Height: In preparation for the lockdown on August 21, a meeting was held at the District Education Board under the chairmanship of Dr Ravindra Goswami, who chaired the District Education Board. It was decided that schools and colleges will remain open and traffic will not be disrupted. Police will keep a close watch on social media and additional security forces have been deployed during the strike. Markets and shops will remain closed till 3:00 pm and a demonstration will be taken out from Nayapura Stadium to the Education Board to demand reservation of seats in SC/ST.
Sikar: SC/ST organisations have called for a peaceful demonstration in Sikar, which has received support from various business and social groups. Police personnel will be deployed to ensure law and order during the demonstration.
Others: Responding to the demonstration, the Tehsildar held a meeting at Namana Atal Seva Kendra with the local traders’ association on Tuesday. Government and private higher medical institutions in the city will remain open. All traders in Namana have pledged their support for the demonstration. Amli Sarpanch Suresh Meena stated that an official announcement regarding the demonstration will be made in the evening.
