DGP Anurag Gupta held a review meeting and discussed many issues including cybercrime

Jharkhand News While DGP Anurag Gupta of Ranchi Police Headquarters gave instructions to curb crime in a video conference with SPs of all districts, he also reviewed several cases. During this, he also praised three districts for better policing in cyber matters.

DGP Anurag Gupta praised three districts

According to the report, while praising Giridih, Deoghar and Jamtara for better investigation along with detection of cyber crimes, DGP Anurag Gupta said that these districts have put cyber criminals behind bars by carrying out a drive.

They reviewed cases of extortion and tax collection in the districts.

The DGP took note of damage to state property by criminals and Naxalites in cases of extortion and seizure, use of dog tags along with uniforms by police officers, status of women police stations, fight against human trafficking, cyber scandals, arrangement of police control room, online FIRs and their status of investigation, status of cases registered on Dial 112 as well as cases related to crime against women.

Instructions for providing a better environment in women’s police stations

The DGP has instructed the police officers to create a better environment at the women police station. It is said that it will improve the condition of the women police station. Apart from providing a clean environment, steps should also be taken to provide better counselling to the complainants. The district SP has been instructed to assign women constables along with female constables at the women police station.

Eleven and a half lakh cash seized in cyber case

During the review of cyber crimes, the DGP has instructed the police officers to conduct prompt and quality investigation. Also, to combat cyber criminals, steps should be taken to seize their properties.

Raising public awareness about installation of CCTV: DGP Gupta

The DGP has directed the officers to alert the police about the installation of CCTV cameras at various places. Security will be increased with the installation of CCTV cameras at all schools, colleges and other public places.
