Thai AirAsia X resumes flights from Bangkok to Sydney, Tokyo and other cities around the world for Indian travellers

Thai AirAsia X announced on August 20 the return of all its flight operations from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport, enabling Fly-Thru services to several global destinations including Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya and Sydney for Indian travelers.

In a statement, Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia X, said that starting from October 1 this year, the latest Thai AirAsia X promotion is designed for Indian and Bangladeshi travelers looking for new experiences during the holiday travel season.

Thai AirAsia X resumes services from Bangkok Don Mueang to Sydney from 1 December 2024 with six flights a week on Tuesdays (two flights), Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, returning from Sydney on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays (two flights) and Saturdays, allowing Indian guests to easily fly via Don Mueang Airport.

Additionally, Indian travellers can get a ticket to Sydney for ₹21,357 one way.

“Reach Sydney, Australia with a promotional fare for departures from India (Fly Thru via Don Mueang) starting from just ₹21,357 one way,” the airline announced.

Travelers can book their flights between August 19 and 25, for travel from December 1 onwards, through the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly known as AirAsia Superapp), it added.

Passengers can depart from any of the cities AirAsia flies from, be it Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Tiruchirappalli, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Guwahati, Gaya or Dhaka (Bangladesh) and explore the world at an affordable price, says Thai AirAsia X.

In addition to Sydney, travellers can also connect to other destinations served by Thai AirAsia X, including Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo and Nagoya in Japan, Seoul in South Korea and Shanghai in China.

“They can choose how and where they want to travel, more easily and conveniently than ever before,” said CEO Tassapon.

The airline currently flies direct from Bangkok to seven destinations: Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo and Nagoya in Japan, Seoul in South Korea, Shanghai in China and Sydney in Australia.
