India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has moved up one spot to third in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Rankings released on Tuesday.

Mandhana, who has 738 rating points, is the highest-ranked Indian batsman in the 50-overs format, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur maintained her ninth position.

Sri Lanka’s star batsman Chamari Athapaththu has fallen behind Mandhana to fourth place, but her compatriots Nilakshika de Silva (up three places to 32), Harshitha Samarawickrama (up eight places to 44) and Kavisha Dilhari (up four places to 50) have all moved up the ODI batting rankings.

Mandhana also maintained her fourth spot in the T20 rankings with Sri Lanka’s Samarawickrama and Irish opener Gaby Lewis reaching career-high positions.

Samarawickrama’s knock of 65 off 44 balls in the second T20I between Sri Lanka and Ireland helped her climb three places to 13th position, while Lewis’ match-winning 119 off 75 balls lifted her four places to a career-best 21st position, which she had previously reached in July 2022.
