During his three-day tour of ChhattisgarhShah will also visit the Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ashram in Raipur, review the functioning of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the state capital and attend a related meeting with the Ministry of Cooperation.
Earlier, Shah had said after a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (Indian People’s Party (BJP)) When the government took over in the central Indian state late last year, around 125 Naxalites were killed, more than 352 arrested and around 175 had surrendered in just five months.

The number of security force personnel deaths due to left-wing extremism has decreased by 72 percent, from 1,750 in the 2004-2014 period to 485 between 2014 and 2023, and the number of civilian deaths has decreased by 68 percent, from 4,285 to 1,383, in the same period.
In 2010, the number of districts with violence was 96. In 2022, that number was reduced by 53 percent, to 45.
Along with this, the number of police stations that reported cases of violence decreased from 465 in 2010 to 176 in 2022.
Over the past five years, more than 5,000 post offices have been established in 90 districts where Maoists have been present or where the ultras had a presence in the past.
1,298 bank branches have been opened and 1,348 ATMs have been put into operation in the 30 worst-affected districts, officials said.
A total of 4,885 mobile phone towers were constructed at a cost of Rs 2,690 crore in the Naxalite-affected areas and 9,356 km of roads were built at a cost of Rs 10,718 crore.
Local youth are involved in setting up 121 Eklavya residential schools, 43 ITIs and 38 skill development centres in the Naxalite-affected areas, officials said.
