Pandit Rakesh Bhatt, well versed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English, Tulu and Sanskrit, holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in three languages - Sanskrit, English and Kannada.
Rakesh Bhatt is from the Madhav Brahmin family.
Pandit Rakesh Bhatt, with a strong background in religious studies and rituals, comes from a traditional Madhva Brahmin family. His training took place under the guidance of his guru, Sri Pejavar Swamiji of Udupi Ashta Matha. He studied Tantrasara (Madhva) Agama and Rigveda under his guru.

Pt. Rakesh Bhatt received his education in Sanskrit from Jayachamarajendra College and Osteen College, Bengaluru. Here he studied in Kannada and English. His academic achievements earned him the Shastra Scholar award from institutions like Mantralaya, Uttaradi Math and Udupi Ashta Math.
They have also taken command of Badrinath.
Prior to his appointment at the Sri Shiva Vishnu Temple (SSVT) in July 2013, Pandit Bhatt worked at Udupi Ashta Math. He has also held temporary roles at Salem Raghavendra Swamy Koil and Badrinath. His proficiency in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English, Tulu and Sanskrit reflects his extensive knowledge of different cultures and religions.
