Viral Video: CISF personnel save life of passenger at Delhi airport after sudden collapse

Delhi: In a horrific incident at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, a Srinagar-bound passenger suddenly collapsed, apparently due to cardiac arrest. The swift and decisive action of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on duty turned what could have been a tragic Tuesday morning into a story of heroism and survival.

The incident, captured on CCTV, shows the passenger, Arshid Ayoub, pushing his luggage trolley when he suddenly falls to the ground and appears to suffer a seizure. The situation quickly escalated, but thanks to the quick intervention of three CISF personnel, Ayoub’s life was saved.

One of the CISF officers immediately started administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), a critical measure that helped stabilise Ayoub’s condition. Following this life-saving action, Ayoub was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital where he received further medical attention.

According to a CISF statement, “Arshid Ayoub, who was on his way to Srinagar to catch a flight from IGI Airport Terminal 2 on Tuesday morning (August 20), collapsed due to cardiac arrest,” adding that rapid CPR administered by the CISF quick reaction team played a crucial role in stabilising his condition.

The statement further confirmed: “He has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi and is said to be stable.”
