On Wednesday, leaders and workers of these organisations and leaders of the Bahujan Samaj Party started demonstrating at Bisra Chowk. Here, vehicles were stopped by placing roadblocks. The SBI branch at Bisra Chowk and the Bisra Chowk Sahyog petrol pump were closed. They also staged a demonstration on the main road and closed shops. The bandh supporters also reached Rourkela railway station and raised slogans. Here, a demonstration was taken out from Basanti Colony on behalf of Pesa Gram Sabha Sundergarh Coordination Committee. The demonstration reached Uditnagar Ambedkar Chowk. Vehicles were stopped by blocking the road there. Shops and banks in and around Uditnagar were closed by the supporters. However, the effect of the bandh was not seen in Ispatanchal. Here shops and markets remained open. However, there were fewer vehicles on the roads. Bandhana Toppo, Jual Jojo, Sukram Oram, Shanti Prakash, German Lakra, Dilkan Bhengra, Innocent Lakra, Dilip Lakra of JMM Rourkela Committee, besides Rashmi Ekka, Pesa Gram Sabha Coordination Committee Chairman Budhua Jojo and people from other organisations participated in the closing ceremony. Bharat bandh was effective in Brajrajnagar
