For this, East Central Railway General Manager Chhatrasal Singh on Thursday inaugurated the Automated Passenger Information System (APIS) at the conference hall of the headquarters in Hajipur. Through this system, passengers will get all the information related to the running of trains in an integrated manner at the stations. In the initial phase, around 500 small and big stations of East Central Railway will be equipped with this system. Under this, screens will be installed at stations with internet connectivity through SIM cards, which will receive complete data related to railway operations from CRIS servers. All the updated information related to the running of trains will be automatically displayed on this screen four hours in advance. In this, passengers will be able to see all the information such as arrival and departure time of trains, running status and which train will arrive at which platform on the screen installed at the platform. If any changes are made on the platform due to any technical reason, the same will also be reported. Through this, the order of the train coaches after the locomotive will also be visible. With this, the passengers will get to know the correct information about their respective coaches, so that the passengers will not face any inconvenience while boarding the train.
