In January of this year, Raj Kumar Hirani announced his decision to foray into OTT entertainment with a series directed by Vikrant Massey. Now, it seems that the project will reunite the Munna Bhai filmmaker with Circuit. Mid-Day has learnt that Arshad Warsi also stars in the cybercrime thriller. While Hirani will be the showrunner and producer, his assistant director Amir Satyaveer Singh will direct the series.

From what we have heard, the Disney+ Hotstar offering is called Pritam Pedro after the characters of Massey and Warsi respectively. A source from the creative team tells us that it is a quirky series centered around two cyber cops. “While Raju sir is known for making comedies with a strong message, from the Munna Bhai franchise to PK (2014) and Soak (2023), in this film he explores a crime drama to which he will inject his signature humour. He might also direct a couple of episodes. In Pritam Pedro, Pedro (Arshad) is a relatively senior cop who solves crimes in his old-school style. Pritam (Vikrant) is the complete opposite – a young cop, a computer expert who uses technology to solve cases. The show revolves around these two diverse personalities who are united to solve crimes,” reveals the source.
If all goes as planned, Pritam Pedro will begin shooting in Goa in November. “The production team had initially scouted in North India, but they have zeroed in on Goa. Some portions will also be shot in Mumbai and Pune.”
