Madhaul-Sadatpur bypass to be operational by November: CM

The much-awaited four-lane Muzaffarpur-Hajipur (Madhaul-Sadatpur) bypass will become operational in the month of November this year. A timeline has been fixed for completing the remaining work of the bypass. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who visited the district on Thursday, reviewed the project after inspecting the bypass. The CM clearly told the officials to complete the construction soon. Terming the bypass as very important, the CM said that the construction of the 17-km bypass will provide a lot of convenience to the people in their transportation. It will take very less time to travel from one place to another. This road will provide convenience to people going to Uttar Pradesh via Gopalganj. It will also be easier to go from Sitamarhi to Sonbarsa. Moreover, Patna-Muzaffarpur will also get four-lane connectivity of the East-West corridor. The people of Muzaffarpur will be freed from the traffic jam. He said that with its construction, it will also be easier to go from Patna to Nepal. It will also be easier for vehicles coming from NH 527-C, the highway connecting Majhauli to Nepal, to travel to Patna. For this, he inaugurated the Jajuar Model Police Station Building, Hattha Model Police Station Building and SC-ST Special Police Station Building of Muzaffarpur district. During this, Minister for Panchayati Raj Kedar Prasad Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr S Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary to the Road Construction Department Pratyaya Amrit, Principal Secretary to the Home Department Arvind Kumar Choudhary, Secretary to the Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, Chief Minister Secretary Kumar Ravi, Officer to the Chief Minister on Special Duty Gopal Singh, Commissioner of Tirhut Division Gopal Meena, Inspector General of Police of Tirhut Zone Shivdeep Lande, DM of Patna Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, SSP of Patna Rajeev Mishra, DM of Muzaffarpur Subrata Kumar Sen, SSP Rakesh, NHAI Engineer and other senior officials were present.
