Winning the lottery is a dream for many people. In fact, to achieve this, many people also buy lottery tickets. A heartwarming story has gone viral about an American man who won the lottery after buying a ticket with his dog’s license plate number on it.
Ohio resident Rogers Sours purchased a ticket for the Pick 5 drawing at the Pit Stop on N Washington Street in Tiffin.
He picked a unique set of numbers: 1-0-8-2-2. This lucky combination helped him win the jackpot and approximately Rs 42 lakh. Interestingly, the numbers came from the license plate of his late German Shepherd, according to UPI.com.
When Sours learned that the winning numbers matched the license plate, he was deeply surprised.
When the American man discovered that the winning numbers matched his dog’s license plate, he was shocked.
“I play two sets of numbers in Pick 5 and this number, the number that came up, was actually the license number of my German Shepherd that I played with. He’s no longer with us,” she told UPI.com.
He added: “I just sat there. I watch the lottery when I can, when it’s on TV, and I just sat there. I was paralysed. I couldn’t believe I won.”
He plans to use the prize money to pay some bills and increase his savings account.
