Badaún: Some miscreants attacked a family travelling in a car near Civil Line police station in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. There were also children inside the vehicle. During the attack, the children got very scared and started screaming. However, even after this, the havoc of the goons did not subside. It is said that while he was returning from Bisauli to Badaun on August 19, some miscreants attacked him. There was an argument between the two parties over the removal of the car from the road. After this, 25 to 30 attackers attacked the couple and the children in the car. The video of the incident is going viral on social media. The police have registered a case in the matter. According to information, Alok Upadhyay is a resident of Chitransh Nagar colony in the city. On August 19, the day of Rakshabandhan, he was heading to Bisauli with his family. On the way, there was a dispute with another driver over the removal of his car. While returning from Bisauli in the evening, the same people surrounded him near Silhari village. When Alok tried to flee in his car, they chased him and again surrounded him near Bhagwatipur village and attacked him with sticks. The harassers did not even realise that there were small children and women in the vehicle, whose cries and screams can also be clearly heard in the viral video. Alok Upadhyay lodged a complaint about the incident with the police, against whom a case has been registered.

There was a dispute over overtaking

There was a dispute between them over overtaking, following which one of the parties called his partners and chased the couple in the car and assaulted and abused them. A case has been registered at Civil Lines police station under relevant sections. Action is being taken.

Video of the victim’s daughter’s statement

The 10-year-old daughter of one of the victims, who was an eyewitness to the incident, somehow worked up the courage and recorded a video of the accused. However, the rest of her younger brothers and sisters ran away in fear and terror after seeing the chaos.

As no police action was taken against the accused, after three days the victim shared the video of the entire incident on her Facebook ID and narrated her ordeal. Following this, panic broke out in the police department.
