UP Police Constable Exam 2024: UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPRPB) officials said that around 21 per cent of the candidates in the UP Police Constable recruitment exam did not appear in the exam despite downloading the admit card. Around 61 students from across the state were caught using unfair means during the exam. Today, the UP Police Constable recruitment exam was again conducted under strict surveillance at 1,174 examination centres in 67 out of 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Biometric verification along with fingerprints and facial recognition of the candidates appearing for the exam was also conducted.

Let us tell you that the UP Police Recruitment Exam was conducted in February. After the question paper was leaked, the exam was cancelled and after about 6 months these exams were conducted again. These exams will be conducted in two shifts on 24,25,30 and 31 August.

Around 48,17,441 candidates had applied for 60,244 posts of UP police constable. A senior UPRPB official confirmed that on the first day of the police recruitment exam on Friday, around 79.11% of the candidates appeared for the exam. He said that around 4,09,720 candidates downloaded the admit card for the first shift, but around 3,21,265 candidates appeared for the exam. At the same time, in the second shift exam, 4,09,880 candidates downloaded the admit card, out of which only 3,27,167 candidates reached the exam centre.

He further said, “About 78.71% of the candidates appeared for the first shift examination. The first shift examination was conducted between 10 am and 12 noon. While about 79.82% of the students appeared for the second shift examination. The examination was conducted between 03:00 am and 12:00 pm. A total of 79.11% candidates appeared for the UP Constable examination.

He said that in the first round examination, 32 candidates were caught using unfair means. Another 29 candidates were arrested for using unfair means in the second round examination. Legal action will be taken against whom.

The board had already issued instructions to 20,000 candidates whose Aadhaar card could not be verified online. Such candidates were required to bring identification proof (driving licence, PAN card, passport or original Aadhar card) to the examination centres for verification.

The UP Police recruitment exam was held on February 17 and 18, but due to the question paper leak, the exams were cancelled on February 24. After the UP Police recruitment exam leak, 178 FIRs were registered against 440 people in 41 districts across the state. Two masterminds of the paper leak incident were arrested from Gautam Buddha Nagar. Keeping in view the paper leak incidents, a very strict monitoring has been maintained on the new UP Police exam this time.
