Grammy Award-winning pop star Dua Lipa to headline Zomato Feeding India concert in November

Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa is set to headline the second edition of the Zomato Feeding India Concert, to be held on November 30th this year.

The event will also feature performances by singers including Jonita Gandhi and Talwiinder.

Announcing the event on unknownCEO Deepinder Goyal wrote, “The Zomato Feeding India (ZFIC) Concert is back! This year’s event is headlined by my favourite global pop icon Dua Lipa – an inspiration to millions around the world!”

He said ZFIC is an initiative to strengthen India’s resolve to eradicate malnutrition and hunger through community mobilization.

“This is just the beginning of the movement and I couldn’t be more excited,” Goyal added.

The first edition of the concert was held in December 2022, headlined by American rapper and singer Post Malone.

What did Dua Lipa say?

Dua Lipa shared her excitement about her trip to India: “My recent trip to India was a beautiful reminder of how much I love this place. The warmth and energy I felt was incredible, and I can’t wait to return in November 2024 to perform for an amazing audience at the Zomato Feeding India concert.”

Albanian singer Dua Lipa is known for hit songs such as “Levitating,” “One Kiss” and “Houdini,” which together have around 2 billion views on YouTube. Her accolades include seven Brit Awards and three Grammy Awards.

This will be Lipa’s second concert in India. In 2019, she performed at the OnePlus Music Festival in Navi Mumbai.

Acquisition of Paytm’s entertainment ticketing business

CEO Deepinder Goyal’s announcement comes shortly after the company announced that it is Acquiring Paytm entertainment ticketing business worth Rs 2,048 crore.

Paytm’s entertainment ticketing business includes ticket sales for movies, sports and events (live shows).

Concert details

The event will be held at MMRDA, BKC, Mumbai on 30th November from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Pre-sale tickets for HSBC cardholders will be available from August 27 at 12:00 pm, with general sales commencing on August 29. Users can book tickets for the concert through the Zomato app.

While the exact prices for this year’s concert are yet to be revealed, previous events have had prices ranging from Rs 2,999 to Rs 19,999.
