The instant messaging giant owned by Meta WhatsApp It is reportedly planning to launch a feature to add people and chat groups to lists. With this feature, users will be able to add people and groups to custom lists, allowing them to better organize their contacts and interactions.
“WhatsApp appears to be working on further improving this management option, including the ability to create and customize lists. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp for Android beta 2.24.18.9 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we’ve discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to add people and groups to lists,” reported WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp.
According to the report, this feature aims to provide users with a more organized and efficient way to manage their contacts and groups, making it easier to find and communicate with specific people or group chats.
Users will also have the option to name their lists, including using emojis, which will add another layer of personalization. This feature will allow for more targeted communication, allowing users to focus on the people who matter most to them, making it easier to send and share content on WhatsApp.
The report suggested that managing people and groups through lists could improve the ability to personalize and target content sharing. With personalized lists, users can organize their contacts and group chats into specific categories based on their preferences or needs.
The new lists feature will offer a tool similar to WhatsApp Business labels. Labels help businesses organize conversations with specific tags. WhatsApp is now planning to replace these labels with the new lists feature.
A feature to add people and groups to lists is in development and will be available in a future update, the report said.
