Calcutta: In a latest update, Kolkata Police have arrested three more people in connection with the vandalism at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
A mob vandalised the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata on the night of August 14 during peaceful midnight protests demanding justice for Abhaya after she was raped and murdered in the seminar room of the same hospital.

In a latest update on the Kolkata rape and murder case, Kolkata Police have arrested three more people in connection with the vandalism of RG Kar Hospital.
The total number of people arrested in the case of mass vandalism now stands at 40.
Former RG Kar director Sandip Ghosh to undergo polygraph test today
The CBI may question former RG Kar Medical College and Hospital principal Sandip Ghosh again today; he has been questioned for around 100 hours so far.
The polygraph test machine has arrived at the CBI office and the probe agency has made preparations for the setup; experts from the CFSL Team of the Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct the six-character polygraph test one by one.
Kolkata rape and murder case: Latest developments
- Sandip Ghosh arrives at the CBI’s Special Crimes Division at the CGO Complex, Salt Lake for questioning.
- The SIT has submitted all documents relating to financial irregularities at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital to the CBI in the Kolkata horror case.
- The CBI has summoned Sanjeeb Mukherjee, a police post officer at RG Kar Hospital, for questioning again today.
- It is speculated that the polygraph test will begin very soon, which will be faced by Sanjoy Roy, Sandip Ghosh, Arka and Soumitra, two first-year PGT doctors, Subhadeep, an intern and Ghulam, a clerk.
