Craving kebabs and wraps? Here’s why you should consider ordering from Lucknowee

Kebabs and wraps seem to be regular orders for many food lovers on delivery apps. Their convenience, versatility, scope for customization, and standard level of deliciousness are some of the reasons for their popularity. When we heard that Lucknowee (one of Impresario’s cloud kitchen brands) revamped its menu to feature more such delicacies, we were curious to know how they turned out. We recently had a chance to try out some of their signature offerings in Mumbai. Read our full review below:

Among the vegetarian appetizers, we enjoyed the Achari Paneer TikkaIt came in a generous portion of succulent yellow triangles. The tangy flavour of the achari was well balanced, allowing the paneer to shine as well. Among the non-vegetarian starters, we had to start with a classic lamb kebab: Galauti Kebab with Paratha Ulta TawaThe first two bites won us over. Lucknowee managed to capture the complex aromas of the spices and the tenderness needed to make the meat melt in the mouth. Accompanied by nawabi paratha, it is a royal delicacy.

We then tried the signature Lucknowee rolls, which also include this type of paratha. We especially loved the pepper and mint one. Chakori Murg Tikka Roll. He Butter chicken tikka roll Capture the flavours of your favourite dish without overwhelming it with sauce. In both cases, we appreciated the smokiness of the tikka and the tenderness of the meat (indicative of a good marinade). For vegetarians, we recommend the Hara Bhara Kebab Roll Which we found indulgent and healthy at the same time. The rolls come with hari (green chutney) and a unique yellow chilli chutney (peeli).

We were impressed by the size and composition of all the rolls. The use of ulta tawa paratha (instead of the usual roti/naan/laccha paratha options) made them stand out for several reasons. Firstly, it complemented the rich aromas of the filling. Secondly, the texture of the paratha was soft and flaky, yet solid, and did not become chewy even after a while. Considering that these delicacies are only available for delivery, the latter was especially significant. We can easily imagine ordering them for a hearty lunch at the office or a fuss-free dinner at home.

Lucknowee has a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian main dishes. We enjoyed the Bhuna Gosht Biryanithat offered layers of delicious flavor with every bite. It had several of the hallmarks of a crowd-favorite biryani, making it a great choice for a party. If you’re craving something sweet, you should know that dessert isn’t necessarily an afterthought at this cloud kitchen. Though there are limited options, the ones we tried were too delicious to skip. We were happy to find that the Pineapple Halwa It outdid a simple sheera. It had a consistency more like a festive mithai like barfi, thanks to the use of mawa. Firni It’s a reliable choice and we had no complaints from our side. As was evident from the start of our meal, Lucknowee has a good grasp on the classics.

We noticed that the cloud kitchen does not use plastic packaging. Most of our dishes were carefully packed and were not damaged even after a long journey.

Lucknowee is currently available for home delivery via online platforms DotPe, Zomato and Swiggy at select locations in Mumbai (in and around Lower Parel, Khar, Versova and Powai) and Bengaluru (in and around Sarjapur, New BEL Road, Hebbal, Koramangala and Indiranagar) between 11 am and midnight.
