“I don’t want to make excuses, but it didn’t work out the way we expected. Also, the weather had been very good in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, it rained for about 8-9 days before the first day of play. Firstly, looking at the pitch, we expected it to work out a bit more. With three-speed bowlers, they were going to be pushed to the limit. In the end, we were wrong. In retrospect, looking at the declaration, we wanted to take the game forward.” Pakistan Captain Shan Masood said at the post-match presentation.
