Rain warning for eastern and northeastern India:
- Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rains are very likely over eastern and northeastern India during the week.
- “Scattered heavy rains are very likely in Assam on the 25th, Arunachal Pradesh on the 25th and 31st, Jharkhand on the 25th,
- “27 and 28; Assam and Meghalaya during 26 and 28; Odisha on 26, 28 and 29; Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during 26 and 28 and 30 and 31; Gangetic West Bengal on 26; Bihar on 26 and 27; Andaman and Nicobar Islands from 27 to 29 August,” the MeT department said.
- Isolated very heavy rains are expected in Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal on Sunday and in Odisha and Jharkhand on August 26.

Rain warning for southern peninsula of India:
- “Scattered light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur over Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, coastal Karnataka and interior Karnataka; isolated to scattered rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Rayalaseema and Telangana during the week,” the IMD said.
- “Scattered heavy rainfall is very likely over Kerala and Mahe between 25th and 31st August; over Telangana between 25th and 29th August; over north interior Karnataka between 25th, 26th and 31st August; over south interior Karnataka between 25th, 29th and 30th August; and over coastal Karnataka between 27th and 28th and 30th and 31st August,” it added.
- Isolated very heavy rains are expected along coastal Karnataka on August 25, 26 and 29.
Rain warning for northwest India:
- “Widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall is very likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan; isolated to scattered rainfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi during the week,” the MeT department said.
- “Scattered heavy rains are very likely over Uttar Pradesh on 25th and 26th; Uttarakhand on 25th and 27th; Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad from 26th to 29th; Himachal Pradesh on 27th; Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh on 27th and 28th August,” it added.
- Isolated very heavy rains are very likely in western Rajasthan on Sunday and Tuesday and in eastern Rajasthan on Tuesday.
- Isolated extremely heavy rains are also forecast in Eastern Rajasthan on 25 and 26 August and in Western Rajasthan on 26 August.
