We had earlier reported that the Malayalam actor Saiyu Kurup was venturing into the production of a new film titled bharatanatyamin which he also participated, and reported when the film’s team released the first look, trailer and first single from the film just a few days ago. The creators of the upcoming film took to their social media on Sunday, August 25 to release a new single from the film titled Tharavadi atrocity.
The film’s team released the fun and quirky song online with the title, “Get ready to rock out to ‘Tharavadi Atrocity’, the thrilling promotional song of the Malayalam film Bharatanatyam, sung by the dynamic duo Shabareesh Varma and Aju VargheseMark your calendars for the film to hit theaters on August 30th.
The accompanying music video showcases BTS moments from the song’s recording, with actors Aju Varghese and Shabareesh Varma engaging in a playful lyrical battle with each other.
A widely shared first look
A few days ago, while sharing the first look poster and title announcement on his official social media handles, Saiju wrote, “Dear friends and family, It is with immense joy that I share the first look poster of my debut production Bharathanatyam in collaboration with Thomas Thiruvalla Films. This long-held wish has come true due to the incredible amount of love and encouragement I have received from all of you over the last 19 years in my journey in the film industry.”
Actor Dulquer Salmaan, a frequent collaborator of Saiju, also shared the poster on his social media with the endearing caption, “Here’s the first look of the Bharatanatyam poster, produced by Saiju Kurup for the first time! Saiju, I personally know your passion for cinema! So I’m not surprised that you’ve turned producer. Wishing you and the entire team all the best! (sic)”
The first look poster showed its lead actors Saiju Kurup and Saikumar looking up while everyone around them looked down and away. The trailer of the film was released a few days later on August 9. As per the trailer, the film seems to be a comedy story centered around a joint family. It focuses on the happenings in and around a Nair mansion and its family, who are proud of their heritage and overly conscious of it.

The film also stars Kalaranjini, Sreeja Ravi, Thallumala fame Swathi Das Prabhu and Nandu Poduval. The technical crew of Bharathanatyam includes cinematographer Bablu Aju, music director Samuel Aby and editor Shadeeque VB.
