Sent to Cambodia under the pretext of a job, he received training in fraud there… He returned and recounted his ordeal, and is now taking a police recruitment exam.

Yogesh Tiwari, Noida: Many youths from the district have fallen prey to the racket exposed by the Bisrakh police station, which lures people into the cyber fraud quagmire by sending them abroad to look for jobs. Three of these youths are residents of Dadri, Greater Noida and Sector-62, Noida. They were sent to Cambodia by luring them with a job as a computer operator and a monthly salary of $1,000, but there they started training in cyber fraud. All three somehow escaped from there and returned. The police station investigating the case has obtained the statements of these three youths and inputs related to the fraud. So far, the police have arrested five people, including a Nepalese national and a Chinese national. The police have obtained information about this racket from Shahrukh, a resident of Dadri, Khalid, a resident of Sector-62, and Mujahid, a resident of Gajraula. All three were looking for jobs. He met Vinod alias Agastya Bhati, a resident of Dadri, in Greno West. Vinod further introduced Chinese national Shu-Yuming through Anil Thapa on February 3 at a restaurant in Sector-18. It was here that the Chinese national conducted the interview. The three were then sent to Cambodia on February 6 after acquiring the tickets on their own.

Cyber fraud training was being provided

The three were doing their diplomas after the 12th grade. They therefore quickly realised that cyber fraud training was being provided there. An officer who had met them there pressured them to return. Then, after giving him the money, the three returned home on the evening of February 24. The police also asked if he had seen any other residents of Indian origin there.

I had escaped from crime, so today I went to present my police documents.

The lives of Shahrukh, Khalid and Mujahid who returned from Cambodia have now changed. Shahrukh said that after returning from Cambodia he joined the Diploma of Laboratory Technician. Now I have eliminated the idea of going abroad in search of work. The police have had the courage to arrest such goons. Therefore, this time I have applied for UP Police recruitment. I went to Bareilly to give the Sunday newspaper. Khalid has started working in a private hospital located in Sector-62. Mujahid, who resides in Gajraula, is also doing private work.
