Rajasthan Weather: The monsoon season shows no signs of stopping in Rajasthan. In the last 24 hours, heavy to very heavy rainfall was witnessed in Pratapgarh district. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for very heavy rainfall in many districts on Tuesday. According to the department, due to the influence of a new weather system, heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible in the next one to two days in the southern and eastern parts of the state. At some places, there is a strong possibility of extremely heavy rainfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of strong winds at a speed of 40 to 60 km per hour in some parts of southern Rajasthan on August 26 and 27.
Heavy rains in these districts of Rajasthan
The Jaipur Meteorological Centre provided information that in the 24 hours up to 8.30 am on Monday, rainfall occurred at many places in western Rajasthan and at most places in eastern Rajasthan. During this period, heavy rainfall was recorded at a few places in Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Bhilwara and Pali districts, and heavy to very heavy rainfall was recorded in Banswara and Dungarpur districts. While heavy to extremely heavy rainfall was observed in Pratapgarh district.
Where and how much rain fell in Rajasthan?
Season The department said that during this period, maximum rainfall of 260 mm was recorded in Pipalkhunt (Pratapgarh). Apart from this, 195 mm of rain was recorded in Banswara and 132 mm of rain was recorded in Chikali, Dungargarh. At the same time, Salopat, Bagidora, Bhungra, Arthuna, Garhi, Sajjangarh and Kesarpura of Banswara received 127 to 195 mm of rain during this period. Similarly, heavy rainfall occurred at many places in Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Pali, Pratapgarh and Rajsamand districts.
