UP News:Speaking at the inauguration of the statue of Veer Durgadas Rathore in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that nothing can be greater than the nation. He stressed that if we remain united and noble, the country will remain strong. It will become weaker if it is divided. The Chief Minister warned that we must avoid the mistakes of Bangladesh. He said that only unity will keep us safe.

CM Yogi called Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb “evil” and mentioned his connection with Agra. He said, “It was in this Agra that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj challenged Aurangzeb’s power and told him that he would never be able to capture India.” Referring to Jodhpur king Maharaja Jaswant Singh and his commander Veer Durgadas Rathore, he said that Aurangzeb made several attempts to capture Jodhpur but despite the presence of warriors like Veer Durgadas there, he could never succeed.

The Chief Minister also reiterated the five resolutions of Prime Minister Modi. He said that Prime Minister Modi has fulfilled his civic duties of ending symbols of slavery, honouring heroes and soldiers, working for unity and integrity, stopping those who spread hatred in society and making India the greatest power in the world to follow.

CM Yogi also stressed that those people who surrendered to the British and Mughals to get zamindari or position were lost in history. But the name of the brave Durgadas Rathore is still taken with reverence and respect in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. He is also worshipped in many places.
