There is good news for students preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination in Telangana. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that youngsters who clear the UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination will also be provided with an assistance amount of Rs 1 lakh each. Till now, the state government has been giving an incentive of Rs 1 lakh to those who clear the prelims. Now the state government has decided to expand the scope of this scheme.

The Chief Minister said the government will provide assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to every student who passes the mains examination under the line of assistance provided to those who pass the civil services preliminary examination and to those appearing for the civil services mains examination. As per The Hindu report, Revanth Reddy was speaking at an event organised to distribute cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to over 130 youth who qualified for the civil services mains examination this year under the Rajeev Civils Abhay Hastam scheme.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also claimed that his government has filled 30,000 vacancies within 90 days of taking office. They also said that they are currently in the process of recruiting 35,000 more people. He said that the government is setting up the ‘India Youth Skills University’ to provide training to the youth so that they can increase their employment opportunities. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has agreed to be the chairman of the new skills university, whose board will comprise top executives from large corporations.

Let us tell you that UPSC organizes Civil Services Examination every year. Through this examination, officers are selected for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) and other services of India. Every year, 9-10 lakh youth apply for it. The UPSC Civil Services selection process consists of the stages of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview.

Now those who pass the railway and banking recruitment exams will also receive money.
