Aseem FoundationThe Pune-based non-governmental organisation (NGO) inaugurated the solar grid project in these two villages on Tuesday. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the parents of Major Kaustubh Rane, SM (Bar), who was martyred in this region in 2018.
The entire villages (Refugee I and Refugee II) jump for joy, there is a wave of happiness and celebration in the village, with all the men, women and children in a festive mood, because it is the first time that these two villages have been illuminated since their existence.

In a joyful and festive tone, Ali Teru told the media, “My eyes have seen the light for the first time since I was born. I cannot believe that this is possible in our village. Not only me, but the entire village is grateful to Aseem Foundation, which has blessed us with this light, and now our children can also study at night, when earlier they were struggling in the dark.”
Ali further said that this is not just about light, but will be seen as a ray of hope.

On the other hand, the women of the village are even more excited than the men and celebrate this first arrival of the light in their own way, unable to contain their joy.
Speaking to the media, a group of women said: “Today, for the first time, we will eat under the light and our children will be able to study at night. We have no words to express our gratitude to Aseem Foundation.”
Speaking to the media, Dr. Gosavi’s NestAseem Foundation Chairman Raja Nasser said the newly installed networks provide a reliable 2KW solar power supply to each village. He highlighted the innovative use of a power limiter in the project, which ensures equality and profitability for the villagers, promoting sustainable energy use.
It is worth noting that Aseem Foundation has already implemented similar solar grid projects in remote villages such as Gagar Hill, Jabri and Sumwali. The organisation has been actively working in the region since 2002, focusing on the development and empowerment of border communities.
The event was attended by a delegation of women from Pune and Mumbai along with members of the local community. Major Kaustubh Rane’s parents expressed their sincere gratitude to the Aseem Foundation and were deeply touched by this tribute to their son. They praised the Foundation’s consistent efforts to uplift these remote areas.
