Rourkela/Bhubaneswar: Beneficiaries of the Subhadra Scheme in Odisha can apply from September 17. Women beneficiaries can apply by visiting Anganwadi Centres, Block Offices, Service Centres and Public Service Centres. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi issued the SOP regarding this scheme last Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to visit Odisha on September 17 to launch the scheme. However, so far, the Office of the Information and Public Relations Officer located in three subdivisions of Sundergarh district – Sadar, Panposh and Banai – has not publicised this scheme. So, information about this scheme is yet to reach the women beneficiaries of these three subdivisions.

Aadhar card, bank account details, residence certificate, income certificate.

Who can benefit from the plan?

1.) Women between the ages of 21 and 60 will benefit from the plan.

2.) Financial assistance will be Rs 10,000 per year, to be distributed in two instalments.

3.) Subhadra Debit Card will also be issued as per the scheme.

4.) 100 women (per Panchayat) who make maximum digital transactions will receive an additional amount of Rs. 500.

The Department of Women and Child Development issued guidelines for the Subhadra Scheme

The State Women and Child Development Department has released the guidelines for ‘Subhadra Yojana’. According to this, women above the age of 21 years and below the age of 60 years can apply for Subhadra Yojana. The date of birth given in the Aadhar card will be valid to apply under this scheme. To apply for the year 2024-25, the age should be above 21 years and below 60 years as on July 1. The applicant should not have been born before 02.07.1964 or after 01.07.2003. Those who are below 21 years of age and above 60 years of age as on July 1, 2024 will not benefit from this scheme. Similarly, those who are receiving assistance more than Rs 1500 per month or Rs 18 lakhs per annum, are current or former MPs/Parliamentarians, are paying income tax, are public representatives other than district members/councillors, if they are in receipt of Central/Employment assistance or pension from the State Government or if their family has 50 acres of irrigated land/10 acres of non-irrigated land, then they will not get the benefit of this scheme.

Forms can be completed online and offline.

To avail the benefits of Subhadra Yojana, any person can fill the prescribed form offline or apply online through the Subhadra Portal. The forms are available free of cost at Anganwadi Centre, Block Office and Mo Seva Kendra. The applicant will fill the form and submit it to the Mo Seva Centre. Eligible beneficiaries will be provided with a Subhadra ATM card. All eligible beneficiaries will be provided with Rs 50,000 in five years i.e. Rs 5,000 each (total Rs 10,000) twice a year. The first instalment of the year will be received on Raksha Bandhan and the second instalment on March 8. The guideline says that 100 persons in each panchayat who make more than 100 digital transactions will be provided with an additional Rs 500.
