GATE 2025 registration begins today, here’s how to register and other details | Education News

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has started the application process for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) today, 28th August 2024. Interested candidates can apply through the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in

The last date to apply for GATE 2025 is September 26. However, candidates can also apply till October 7 by paying a late fee.

The application process was initially scheduled for August 24, but has been postponed. The delay in the application process would not affect the other dates, including the exam schedule.

The exam will be conducted on 1, 2, 15 and 16 February 2025, in two shifts on all exam days. Candidates can appear for up to two GATE 2025 exams.


How to apply for GATE 2025?

Here are the simple steps to apply for GATE 2025 exam:

  • First visit the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
  • The registration link for Open GATE 2025 is available on the homepage.
  • Share all the required and necessary information and press the submit button.
  • Enter your login credentials and complete the application form.
  • Upload all documents, pay the exam fee and submit the form.

What is the application fee for GATE 2025?

The application fee for GATE 2024 is Rs 900 for candidates from female, SC, ST and PwD categories if they apply during the regular period. While the application fee for these candidates if they apply during the extended period is Rs 1400.

For other candidates, the application fee is Rs 1,800 during the regular period and Rs 2,300 during the extended period.


What are the documents required for GATE 2025 registration?

Here is the list of documents required for GATE 2025 registration:

  • Passport size photograph,
  • High resolution signature for upload,
  • Scanned copy of category certificate (SC/ST) in pdf format (if applicable),
  • Scanned copy of the PwD certificate in PDF format (if applicable),
  • Scanned copy of the Dyslexia certificate in pdf format (if applicable),
  • Scanned copy of a valid photo ID which can be an Aadhar, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID or Driving License.
  • Address for communications (including PIN code), and
  • Details of the eligible title.
