But today, after two years, Seema finds herself back where she started. This is the story of Seema Kumari, 12-year-old daughter of Kheeran Manjhi of Fatehpur village in Khaira block area of the district. Four years ago, she lost one of her legs in a road accident. Despite such a big accident, Seema’s courage did not diminish. She was determined to make her dreams come true.

He walked a kilometre and started going to school, hopping with the help of one leg. When his video went viral on social media, many hands went up to help him. But, after two years, Seema’s condition has returned to the same. Seema said that two years ago, he received many assurances in the form of help, but only one artificial leg was fitted. After the artificial leg was fitted, he was comfortably going to school. But, with age, Seema’s height also started increasing and his artificial leg became shorter. Now the situation is such that every time he uses his artificial leg, he feels terrible pain. Sometimes the pain increases so much that he even loses consciousness due to the pain. That is why he cannot wear an artificial leg anymore. So, Seema is back to doing his job by hopping with the help of one leg. The saddest thing is that now he has also lost his education.
The father said there is not enough money to treat him.
Seema’s father Kheeran Manjhi said that we are from a poor family and that is why we are neglected. We have not even spoken to the district magistrate for the last two years. We do not go to meet them for fear that we are small people, what will we say when we go to them. We do not have enough financial capacity to treat Seema. She spends her whole day preparing two meals a day for the family.
They had to amputate his leg after the accident
One of his legs had to be amputated after a road accident. After the accident, seeing other children from the village going to school, the desire to go to school was awakened in him. Seema herself had expressed her desire to go to school. Admission was done at the school, but the biggest problem was how to get him to school. There was no paved road from the house to the school. Still, Seema did not lose her courage and came to school with her bag on her back, hopping on one foot along a path.

Seema’s artificial leg will be manufactured again by the same company that had fitted her. On getting information about Seema, the officer was sent to Seema’s house. Soon Seema will be relieved of the problem. She will go to school again.
