On the other hand, against the bandh, Trinamool leaders and workers came out on the streets and staged a procession to maintain normal life. On that day, the BJP organised railway blockade at Purulia, Anara, Indravil and Murradi stations of the district from morning. Due to which many passenger and express trains of Adra division were affected. In which major express trains like Purulia-Howrah, Asansol-Haldia faced a delay of two hours. Besides this, considerable delays were seen in passenger train traffic on railway routes like Adra Asansol, Adra Bakuda, Adra Purulia. BJP leaders and workers carried out railway blockade for hours at all these stations. Later the blockade ended with the mediation of GRP and RPF. On that day, BJP leaders and workers blocked the Barakar Purulia state highway in Raghunathpur town. Later, police reached the spot and detained three BJP workers. After this the blockade ended. On that day, in support of the bandh, BJP workers including MP Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato, MLA Sudeep Banerjee and district president Vivek Ranga took out a procession in Purulia town and also stopped the operation of many government buses. It called for closing open shops. Describing this bandh as completely successful, BJP said that the bandh was completely successful in Purulia district. It thanked the people of Purulia. According to BJP, Trinamool tried to forcefully open the shops of traders at many places with the help of police administration but failed. The traders refused to open their shops. BJP claimed that bus service was completely suspended everywhere in the district. On that day, motorcycle rallies were held in all parts of the district to protest against the Trinamool Congress in Dwarahand and to maintain normal life, and in some places the campaign was made through microphones. Trinamool declared the bandh a failure. Trinamool claimed that like other days, attendance at all government offices in the district was normal. At the same time, all markets in the district were open. Work in factories was back to normal.
