The Rajasthan State Medical and Dental Counselling Board has changed the NEET UG 2024 counselling schedule for admission to 85 per cent MBBS and BDS seats in the state. As per the new schedule, the seat allotment result for the first round of Rajasthan NEET UG counselling will now be released tomorrow, August 30, instead of today, August 29. Students who have registered for counselling will be able to check the seat allotment result by visiting rajugneet2024.org. Candidates who have applied for the first round of counselling can make a hard copy of their online application till today, August 29, after the automatic locking of their options. There will be four rounds of NEET UG counselling for admission to 85 per cent MBBS BDS seats of the state quota in Rajasthan: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round and Vacancy Forfeiture Round. If seats remain vacant even after this, the board may announce additional rounds of admission.

Status of MBBS seats in Rajasthan

According to reports, there are only 39 per cent government MBBS seats in Rajasthan, and 61 per cent of the MBBS seats are private. The highest number of MBBS seats among government medical institutions is 209 in SMS Medical College, Jaipur. The number of MBBS seats in government medical colleges in Bikaner and Jodhpur is 208. The number of government MBBS seats in government medical institutions for the general category is 746, which is only 14 per cent of the total number of seats.
