BJP Central Executive Committee Meeting: The BJP has been gearing up for the Haryana elections. The round of meetings is continuing in the party. The central committee meeting was held on Thursday. The names of the candidates were discussed in the meeting. The CEC meeting will be held soon. Prime Minister Modi will also attend the meeting. The names of the candidates will be finalized in the CEC meeting. Only the Central Election Committee will take the final decision on the possible candidates for the assembly elections. Let us tell you that the assembly elections will be held in Haryana on October 1. The BJP is considering candidates for 90 seats.

Earlier, a meeting of the BJP Core Committee was held in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Many other BJP leaders including Haryana CM Nayab Saini and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar attended the meeting. Before the core group meeting held at JP Nadda’s residence, Dharmendra Pradhan also met BJP leaders from Haryana at his residence. In which the party’s state team briefed the central team about the political environment in the state.
BJP may announce candidates in one or two days
Assembly elections will be held in Haryana on October 1. The BJP may announce the names of its candidates for 90 seats today or tomorrow. The BJP may finalise the names of its candidates at the CEC meeting. Before the CEC meeting, the Haryana selection committee had finalised three names for 60-70 seats.
BJP suffered a defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections
Let us tell you that there is currently a BJP government in Haryana. The party’s biggest challenge is to maintain its power in the state. The BJP’s seat tally has declined in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. Five seats went to the BJP’s tally, the remaining seats went to the Congress’ tally. Whereas, in the last Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
How did the BJP perform in the last Haryana Assembly elections?
In the last Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP won a maximum of 40 seats. The Congress had won 31 seats. It became the main opposition party. The Jananayak Janata Party won 10 seats. While independent candidates won seven seats. At the same time, the Indian National Lok Dal won one seat and the Haryana Lokhit Party won one seat. After the elections, the BJP formed a coalition government with the JJP. However, the alliance broke down due to a disagreement on seat sharing in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
