Telugu superstar Naga Chaitanya graced the grand opening of fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani’s flagship store Tasva in the heart of Himayatnagar, Hyderabad. The actor went viral for his ‘cheap‘ video that left the internet baffled. However, it was his peculiar way of arriving at the event. When asked by the media if it was a rehearsal for his wedding with Sobhita Dhulipala, Naga jokingly said, “Perhaps one could think of it as a countdown of sorts for my wedding.”

Naga Chaitanya shares his wedding plans with Sobhita Dhulipala
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged earlier this month. When the actor was asked if they would have a grand wedding or a low-key ceremony, he said, “Marriage is all about the people who mean a lot to me. It doesn’t have to be a grand wedding, but people take into account cultures and traditions, that’s how I want it (marriage) to be.”
Naga Chaitanya-Sobhita Dhulipala Commitment
In his Nischitaardham (commitment) At the ceremony, Sobhita wore a gold-hued Uppada silk sari by Manish Malhotra. She opted for a hue inspired by the Kanakaambaram, a traditional temple flower worn by Telugu women, and the everlasting Padmam (lotus). The silhouette, derived from the paintings of iconic Telugu artist Bapu, echoed the classic half-sari style of young South Indian women. Naga Chaitanya wore a rendition of the classic Pattu pancha, laalchi and kanduva, a traditional three-piece ensemble worn by men in Andhra Pradesh. Her outfit, crafted in ivory brocade and muted gold tussar silk, was accessorised with antique gold dori work, honouring the state’s exquisite craftsmanship.

Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They announced their split on social media in a joint statement in October 2021. In it, they asked for privacy and support during these difficult times. Samantha and Chaitanya maintained that they will always “maintain a special bond” with each other. “After much deliberation and reflection, Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to go our own ways. We are blessed to have a friendship of over a decade which was at the very core of our relationship and we believe that it will always maintain a special bond between us.
