If GDA dues are not deposited, the allocation will be cancelled and more than 5 thousand defaulters will be notified.

Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will now expedite the recovery of the outstanding money from the builders and allottees. For this, GDA is planning to recover Rs 239 crore by sending notices to over 5,000 defaulters. The builder owes Rs 114 crore and the allottee owes Rs 125 crore. GDA VC has given instructions in this regard. It has been said that after sending the notice, everyone will be asked to deposit the money by sending it to the supervisor. Also, if anyone fails to deposit the money even after giving the notice, his allotment will be cancelled.

In all cases, the people who bought flats and plots in GDA had not deposited the money in GDA. Previously, efforts have also been made to deposit the money through the One-Time Settlement Scheme. However, people definitely submitted the application but did not deposit the money, so the financial position of GDA is getting weaker day by day.

A maximum of 3061 defaulters are from Nandagram while Tulsi Niketan stands second with 1697 defaulters and Indirapuram stands third with 1324 defaulters. Among these, the maximum amount of over Rs 100 crore is accounted for by defaulters from Indirapuram. Apart from this, over 6 lakh defaulters from Valmiki Kunj, Indira Kunj, Uday Nagar, Vaishali, Sanjay Nagar, Madhuban Bapudham, Pratap Vihar, Swarn Jayanti Puram, Tulsi Niketan, Kaushambi, Indraprastha, Shastri Nagar, UP Border Chikampur etc. are included.

The list of all defaulters is being updated. After the list is updated, a notice will be sent to everyone and the dues will be deposited. If the outstanding money is not deposited, an action for cancellation of allotment will be initiated.

The builder’s floors will be sealed

The builders have waived the money from the GDA. A notice is being sent to all the GDAs. It is learnt that prior to this, the GDA had also issued RC to most of the big defaulters through the district administration, but so far no recovery has been made. Officials say that if the allottees live in a project, then another property of the builder will be sealed in its place.

You will get OTS benefits

The government last published the One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme in the year 2021. Some people took advantage of this. After this, the GDA wrote several letters to the government to come up with a One Time Settlement Scheme. But the government is yet to make it public. This provides relief to the allottees to a large extent from the interest charged on the dues.
