The Union Health Minister will view the land of the proposed Darbhanga AIIMS there and inaugurate the newly constructed super-specialty block at the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital. The dates for laying the foundation stone of Darbhanga AIIMS are expected to be decided during Union Health Minister JP Nadda’s stay in Darbhanga.

Foundation stone can be laid before Navratri

Giving information in this regard, BJP state president and Minister for Revenue and Land Reforms Dr Dilip Jaiswal said that now 150 acres of land has been handed over to Darbhanga AIIMS. The first 113 acres of land was handed over earlier and the signature for 37 acres of land was signed today and the notification is expected tomorrow. It is believed that the foundation stone of Darbhanga AIIMS could be laid in September or October.

JP Nadda to arrive in Bihar on September 6

Dilip Jaiwal said that BJP national president and health minister of the country JP Nadda will come to Patna on September 6. He said that during his two-day stay, JP Nadda will visit Patna, Bhagalpur, Gaya and Darbhanga. He will give many gifts to Bihar during his two-day stay. Before going to Darbhanga on September 7, his plan is to see the world-class hospital being built at PMCH. After this, he will inspect the proposed site of AIIMS at Darbhanga. He will inaugurate a 200-bed super-specialty block at Darbhanga Medical College and a 200-bed super-specialty block at Muzaffarpur Medical College.

Regional Institute of Ophthalmology to be inaugurated

Dr Jaiswal said that on September 6, during his stay in Bihar, Health Minister JP Nadda will inaugurate the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology. This Regional Institute of Ophthalmology has four to five seats in the country. This institute has been set up with a lot of preparation at IGIMS. People of Bihar will no longer have to go out for eye treatment. On September 6 itself, he will inaugurate a 200-bed super-speciality hospital at Jawahar Lal Medical College Bhagalpur. From there he will proceed to Gaya, where he will inaugurate a 200-bed super-speciality hospital at Anugrah Narayan Medical College.
