Rain alert in Gujarat: The storm continues in Gujarat. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in Saurashtra and Kutch on Friday due to the cyclonic storm. According to the department, very heavy rain can also be seen in Jamnagar, Porbandar, Morbi and Swarka. An alert has been issued in this regard.
The meteorological department forecast indicates that there is a possibility of rain in Gujarat during the next 7 days. Heavy rain is possible in Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar and Dwarka of Gujarat on August 30. Yellow alert for rain has also been issued in Rajkot, Porbandar and Junagadh. In all other districts, there are chances of light to moderate rain.
School closed amid alert
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall till September 2. An orange alert has been issued for Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar and Dwarka. Primary and secondary schools and colleges have been closed due to the bad weather.
The situation is getting normal in Vadodara
Due to heavy rains in Vadodara, Gujarat, the Vishwamitri river overflowed, resulting in many areas getting flooded, but now the water seems to be receding in most parts of the city. People are able to travel easily. The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) said the Vishwamitri river that runs through the city was flowing at its highest level of 37 feet (which is 12 feet above the danger mark), but is now flowing at 31 feet.

26 dead in rain-related incidents
in Gujarat on Thursday Rain Decreased. As of Wednesday, 26 people have died in rain-related incidents in the state. More than 18,000 people have been evacuated from flood-affected areas of Gujarat. About 1,200 people have been rescued. Security forces evacuated some people to safe places by helicopters.
